Development rooted in empathy and equality
Since 2006, Muskan Foundation has worked from Hazaribag to empower rural and marginalised communities through education, women’s empowerment, sustainable livelihoods, agriculture, healthcare and social welfare.
Our aims and objectives set out what we work towards: dignity, opportunity and self-reliance for every individual and family we serve.
Six aims, one shared purpose
Each aim is put into practice through programmes on the ground, with communities as equal partners.
01Education & Child Development
Promote inclusive and equitable access to education by supporting disadvantaged children through educational awareness, learning opportunities, child development initiatives, and community engagement. Encourage school participation, holistic development, and awareness of children’s rights to help build a strong foundation for their future.

Strengthen women’s social and economic independence through skill development, self-help group (SHG) formation, entrepreneurship promotion, and capacity-building initiatives. Encourage women’s leadership, financial awareness, collective decision-making, and access to sustainable income-generating opportunities.

03Sustainable Livelihoods
Enhance the economic well-being of rural and marginalized communities through vocational training, handicraft development, artisan support, and entrepreneurship initiatives. Promote practical skills, market-oriented activities, and income-generation opportunities that contribute to self-reliance and long-term livelihood security.

04Health & Social Welfare
Promote community well-being through health awareness, hygiene education, preventive healthcare initiatives, reproductive and sexual health awareness, and access to essential health-related services. Encourage informed health practices and community participation, with particular attention to women, adolescent girls, children, and underserved rural populations.

05Inclusive Community Development
Promote dignity, equality, and social inclusion by supporting senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable and marginalized communities. Advance awareness of social rights, encourage community participation, and facilitate access to care, support, and welfare initiatives that foster a more inclusive and compassionate society.
